Well from that BS call on the HBP in the 3rd, looks like MLB wants to Cubs to succeed this year – a real turning point which could affect a close race for a WC position.
Just an awful game. No hitting, wild pitches, missed fielding chances. This playoff run could very well end in Chicago. 5 zip Cubbies.
Yeah, Hrabosky was so PO’d about the HBP post-game, that he took a bat and smacked the bobblehead on the desk (his own, btw). His co-announcer said, “Well, it looks like the Mad Hungarian’s back.”
The only positive about the WC push, I guess…is that the Cards only have to beat one team, not both. At the moment, the Padres are leading the Giants 3-zip in the 3rd.
Jen’s tweet says Holliday’s hoping to return soon. Maybe not soon enuf’, tho’.
