Just when you think they’re about to turn it around they crap the bed. It’s too late in the season to change what you are……….an 84 85 win team and no playoff spot.
Like I said before even if we accidentally did, what would we get? Bumgarnner, Kershaw, Strassberg, Scherzer, Syndagaard, Gromme, Fernandez in a one game play in. We don’t have anyone like those guys. Martinez can go 6, then what? Nope its not the year, nor are the next two unless the staff is really revamped.

Well, maybe you’re right. The Birds may not have what it takes to earn a WC spot.
As for Rosie? This morning, MM said he’ll be using both LHP Siegrist & RHP Oh to close, just depending on the opponent’s line-up. I guess Broxton might stay as a set-up guy.
MM wasn’t sure what Leake’s issues are. He said they’ll simply have work on trying to figure that out.
Lyons actually looked pretty good last nite, btw. Maybe he’s been getting more comfortable on the mound and is trusting his stuff enuf’ to aggressively go after batters. I was watching him really close last nite…and the coupla’ walks he gave up didn’t appear to freak him out like they’ve seemed to, previously. He just went back to focusing on the next batter up.
At least, the Marlins took down the Cubs yesterday. That’s good, right?
Oh, and how ’bout that crazy fan who jumped the OF fence onto the field? Pretty funny, huh? https://youtu.be/sbEeWU84FZE
