Infield errors and strikeouts continuing tonight against a relatively weak Atlanta pitcher. Grichuk can’t get run home with another K and misplays outfield fly. Garcia not plugging the gap so all starters have come ups short so far. 4-0 Could be an ugly season.

Come back with bench strength was unexpected. Perhaps Hazelbaker should start over Grichuk for a time and mix in Garcia and Diaz over Wong and Gyorko given their fielding and hitting so far.

Good news is the Cards have Atlanta and Milwaukee teams that they should beat this week.
Last year it was the Cards that jumped out early and held the lead. This year the Pirates and the Cubs seemed to have turned the tables. Lots of games to play and you can’t win the division in April, but you can hurt your chances if you fall too far behind. Those other teams know that, hope we do too.
