Interesting article above about Hazelbaker, says he could make the cut for a Cards Opening Day roster/bench spot. (He HAS been playing pretty good during ST.)
Also, after Monday’s shaky 2-inning outing…Marco Gonzales was sent back down to Triple-A Memphis. Frankly, I’ve been concerned all along, that both he & Lyons don’t quite have what it takes to pitch in the majors. Yet, anyway.
But still, Lyons does have the physicality at 6′ 4″, 200lbs to have potential, I guess.

In Mike Shannon’s interview just now, he said he thinks Hazelbaker won’t probably make the final regular-season roster. HOWEVER, Mike feels he could well be the very first call-up, if the Cards need something.
