Moss, Reynolds, Wong & Grichuk on bench tonite. But Holliday may be replaced around the game’s mid-point? Pirates put the Cubbies away just now 3-2.
All I can say…is that I hope Martinez is solid tonite.

Frustrating game; Choate cannot get his one batter and gives up run; Bourjos kills rally with caught stealing. Why keep pitching someone who cannot pitch and running someone who cannot run the bases well? Both of them need to be off post-season roster.

Then bring in Rosenthal in non-relief situation which is never good for him and gives up a run. MM does not deviate from his plans no matter what and is also wearing Siegrist down.

At least Martinez seems to have only a stiff shoulder. Hope it is not more than that. And hope Cubs will press for a win or two so Pirates will not be too close when we go there next week.

Sorry I haven’t talk to you guys lately been very busy. Bob, I agree. MM has tried and true patterns and I get it that when you’re going well, don’t change. However, that does make you predictable and that can come back and bite ya in the behind and you never want to be totally predictable come playoff time. Be a little bit of a mystery at least. Choate should be told we didn’t make the playoffs and go home. Bourjos I thought was a really good pick up from the Angels at the time, he dosen’t get with us.
Tries to hard to impress and seems moody if he’s not playing.I’d remove both from the playoff roster in a N.Y minute. Finally, I’ve heard that standard stiff shoulder tune from the Cards before…………we’ll see?

Yeah, I switched the channel as Choate was on his way to the mound. I had NO doubt he’d screw things up.
The radio guys kept talking about Bourjos’ history of getting caught stealing.
    Dumb game….

Gave that one away. Why bunt away one of your last three outs rather than hit and run with the reliable Jay at bat? Hope that’s the only one they drop this weekend.
