Alrighty, then. Heyward’s taking the nite off. Moss, Pham & Pisotty in the OF. Tuivailala called up to stand in for Rosie, which should work. He’s capable of 97-98 mph fastballs. Can’t quite hit triple-digits tho’, like good ole’ Trevor.
I’ll trust that Wacha’s in good form tonite. But occasionally, it can take an inning or two for him to settle in. Hope that’s not the case tonite.
The Giants are desperate to grab that second Wild Card spot, plus they’ve got Leake starting tonite. So they’ll be bringing their A-game in tonite’s match-up.
Let’s go Red Birds!

Wacky third inning put the Cards behind. Two errors, hit by oitch and grand slam. Wacha looks to have settled a bit and they got some of those runs back so hope they can keep picking away

Yeah, that’s what Tim McCarver said. Odd scoring tonite. Oh, and now the scoreboard just went out. Odd everything.
No surprise Choate didn’t do his job. Seldom does anymore. He makes me so darned nervous when MM puts him in.
I sure hope this doesn’t go into extra innings, considering the game’s on late anyway. Oops, the scoreboard came back on.
Wacha did pretty good tonite, but not great.
Let’s hope we can score again the top of the 9th….

Odd to put Broxton in the 8th instead of Tuivailala, since Broxton has more closing experience. We wold be thin pitchng wise in extras. I will have to check the reults tomorrow though as it is later here.

Sloppy game all the way around. Had a chance to win but something was wrong with Siegrist in the 9th. He walked practically everybody & threw several pitches way up high, making Yadi have to jump up to catch ’em.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Siegrist took one too many sips of his “prescription” cough medicine right before he went to the mound. He just wasn’t right.
