August 28: Cardinals (71-57) @ Pirates (68-60)

Before you get to lineups, here’s a plug: Look for a story about Chris Carpenter on later tonight. Carpenter took another step forward in his rehab by throwing off the mound on Tuesday. And even though his mid-season surgery was labeled as season-ending, the door now seems to be open for the outside chance that Carpenter could pitch for the team in a limited role later this year. Obviously, that’s far from a certainty. But until today, it wasn’t even deemed a possibility.

Again, more on the site later.

Are you suggesting on your tweet that Hamilton tried to injure Yadi? “Molina, who held onto the ball, helped into dugout. Josh Harrison went for Yadi’s head as he barreled into him at home.” If so is there no potential penalty or appeal for something which could turn the wild card in Pirates favor?

Sorry that should read Harrison.
